Rohtak. After the results of the Lok Sabha elections in Haryana, all is not well in the India Alliance. There is a rift between the Congress and the Aam Aadmi Party. We are not saying this, rather, the attitude of the allies of the India Alliance is telling.
In fact, Aam Aadmi Party’s candidate from Kurukshetra and state president Dr Sushil Gupta said that if our support had not been there in Haryana, the results would not have been as they are. He was directly pointing towards Congress. In the Lok Sabha elections, the Congress alliance and BJP have got five seats each in Haryana. On this, Gupta said that there are many seats which have been won by very small margins. If our support had not been there, the result would have been different.
Speaking to the media at a press conference held at the party office in Rohtak, Dr Sushil Gupta openly said that there was no sabotage against him in Kurukshetra. All the alliance partners supported him. However, on the statement of the party’s senior state vice-president Anurag Dhanda, he said that he has already responded to it.
Anurag had alleged that Congress leaders had betrayed the AAP candidate in Kurukshetra. Although Gupta did not comment on Anurag’s statement, he definitely said that if we had not cooperated, the results in the state would have been different. On the question whether the upcoming assembly elections in Haryana will be fought under an alliance or the party will contest alone, Gupta said that this decision will be taken by the high command but we are working towards strengthening the organization at the booth level. We are fully prepared for whatever order the high command gives. Gupta alleged that the INLD party had come to contest the elections in Kurukshetra at the behest of the BJP. They have been wiped out in the entire state and the same is the condition of JJP. Aam Aadmi Party has got more votes in the state than these two parties.
Politics heated up after Deepender Hooda’s statement
In fact, Congress MP Deepender Hooda, who won from Rohtak, had recently given a statement that his alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party was only till the Lok Sabha elections. However, the Aam Aadmi Party did not benefit from the alliance in Delhi and this is why the conflict between the two parties has increased and rhetoric has started.
