Apart from fever and vomiting, brain or heart stroke can also occur. Wear light colored clothes to avoid heatstroke. Try not to go out in the daytime sunlight. If you are going out, do not go out in the sun without covering your head. Keep consuming water, juice or seasonal fruits from time to time. Do not drink cold water in the sun. Dr. Mayank told that if someone gets heat stroke, then drink buttermilk, lassi or wood apple or other types of sherbet and barley water. Can give khichdi. Give ORS solution, apply sandalwood paste on palms and forehead and henna on head. Do not eat outside food. Do not eat fried paratha, puri, kachori etc. even at home. Keep drinking lemon water and electrolytes. Sugar patients should take sherbet and thandai without sugar.
