Quoting a senior Congress leader, PTI reported that when the Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned on Monday, Rahul Gandhi left his seat and went to the Foreign Minister’s room in the House and discussed the situation in Bangladesh. Sources have informed that Rahul Gandhi asked the Foreign Minister whether Sheikh Hasina has come to India. What steps is India going to take on the situation in Bangladesh. On Rahul Gandhi’s questions, the Foreign Minister said that we are keeping an eye on the situation. As soon as some fresh information is received, you will be informed.
Let us tell you that the plane of Sheikh Hasina, who resigned from the post of Prime Minister on Monday after widespread anti-government protests in Bangladesh, landed at Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad. Sheikh Hasina arrived in India in a C-130J military transport aircraft of the Bangladesh Air Force. A few hours after Hasina’s plane landed at the airbase, National Security Advisor-NSA Ajit Doval met her. It is being told that Sheikh Hasina has been taken to a safe place.
Sources said that Sheikh Hasina had planned to go to London. But some issues have come up, due to which her plan has changed.
On the other hand, Bangladesh Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman said that Sheikh Hasina has resigned from the post of Prime Minister and an interim government is going to take over. The Army Chief said in his address on television, ‘I am taking all the responsibility (of the country). Please cooperate.’
