If you want to see so many mangoes together, then you must visit the famous Lord Shrinathji temple situated in Nathdwara of Rajsamand district of Rajasthan. Here, once a year, 1.25 lakh mangoes are offered to Lord Shrinathji. After that, this prasad is distributed among the devotees who come to the temple and in the entire city. This prasad is delivered to the devotees of Shrinathji even in Gujarat and Maharashtra.
This offering of 1.25 lakh mangoes is offered to Prabhu Shrinathji on the occasion of the Snan Yatra at the Haveli of Pushti Margiya Pradhan Peeth Prabhu Shrinathji located in Nathdwara. On this day Shrinathji is given ‘Jyeshthabhishek Snan’. This bath is given to Shrinathji according to the date. This bath is given on Ekadashi in the month of Jeth. On Friday, on Ekadashi, Maharaj Rakesh Kumar and Goswami Vishal Bawa gave Jyeshthabhishek bath to Shreeji Prabhu with Yamuna water. On this occasion, Prabhu was adorned with a supernatural decoration. After that, 1.25 lakh mangoes were offered to him.
One and a quarter lakh mangoes are offered only to the temple
Goswami Vishal Bawa told that since Shreeji Prabhu is the king of Nikunj Nayak and Pushti Srishti, this bath is given to him as a sign of coronation. In Pushti Marg, the Lord is given a bath with cold water. On this occasion, mangoes are offered to the Lord. These one and a quarter lakh mangoes are offered only to the temple. Apart from this, a large number of devotees also offer mangoes to their deity.
The number of mangoes for offering reaches two to two and a half lakhs
In this, Hapus mango is offered to the Lord on the temple side. Rest of the devotees offer mangoes to Shrinathji according to their faith. Due to this, the number of mangoes offered reaches two to two and a half lakhs. The child form of Shriprabhu is worshipped in Shrinathji temple. Although thousands of devotees come here every day, but on the Ekadashi of the month of Jeth, a huge crowd of devotees gathers here. The preparations for offering 1.25 lakh mangoes begin much in advance. Devotees of Nathdwara Shrinathji are not only in the country but also abroad.
