HD Revanna
JDS leader HD Revanna has been detained by the police following allegations of kidnapping. Whereas, his son Prajwal Revanna is absconding leaving the country in the sex scandal case. Special investigation team Prajwal had reached HD Deve Gowda’s house in Bengaluru to search for Revanna. After this HD Revanna has been detained. Two FIRs are registered against him.
HD Revanna, MP from Holenarasipur seat, became MLA for the first time from this seat in 1994. He had to face defeat in 1999, but in 2004 he became MLA again. In 2018 also he won by a huge margin and became MLA. He won in 2023 also, but his party could not come to power. At the same time, Prajwal became MP for the first time in 2019. He is contesting elections for the second time.
Court rejected bail petition
The court has rejected the bail plea of both the accused leaders and a look out notice has been issued against both of them for the second time. After this HD Revanna was taken into custody. However, the search for son Prajwal continues. Prajwal had filed a petition for anticipatory bail and HD Revanna for interim bail. HD Revanna, son of former Prime Minister of India HD Deve Gowda, and his son Prajwal Revanna have been accused of sexual exploitation by a woman who worked for them. Many objectionable videos of Prajwal also went viral. Prajwal has fled out of the country after the video went viral. It is being said that he is in Germany.
Prajwal is JDS candidate
Prajwal Revanna is the outgoing MP from Hassan Lok Sabha seat in Karnataka and is also the current candidate of JDS in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. Voting for his Lok Sabha seat has taken place in the second phase on April 26. After this his objectionable videos went viral and he has not appeared in front of the public since then. A special team has been formed to investigate this matter.
