Gorakhpur. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Ravi Kishan on Tuesday hit out at fellow Congress MP Shashi Tharoor for his prediction that it would be difficult for the ruling party to cross 300 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.
The Congress MP had told ANI, “It will be difficult for the BJP to even cross 300 seats… After five phases of elections, we are seeing that people are angry with the government because unemployment and inflation are increasing in the country… Congress will be in a better position than before, we will get good results even in the states of North India.”
Hitting back at Tharoor, the BJP MP from Gorakhpur said, “Shashi Tharoor is an ‘English man’. We go to Manali and Shimla for holidays, he comes to India during elections. He neither knows the country nor its villages. He does not know this sweat.”
