Politics in Bengal has heated up after the death of the female doctor.CM Mamata Banerjee has agreed for CBI investigation in this case.The CM demanded that the accused in this case be hanged.
Kolkata, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee’s statement came out in the case of mysterious death of a female doctor in R.G. Kar Medical College and Hospital. Banerjee demanded death penalty for the accused in this case. She also said that her government is ready to get the murder case investigated by any agency. Talking to the media, CM Banerjee said that if the medical students and house staff of the hospital demand a CBI investigation, then her government is ready.
The Chief Minister said, “We have nothing to hide in this case. The person arrested in the case will be presented in a fast-track court. We will demand death penalty for the culprits. But if the agitating students want an investigation by any other agency other than the police, then we are not against it. If there is a CBI investigation, then we have no problem.” He also said that it will also be investigated whether there was any lapse on the part of the hospital administration in preventing such incidents and how this incident happened in the hospital premises despite the presence of CCTV cameras.

He appealed to the agitating doctors to ensure that the patients visiting the hospital do not face any inconvenience due to their agitation. Earlier, Kolkata Police Commissioner Vineet Kumar Goyal said in a press conference on Saturday that if the victim’s family members insist on getting the case investigated by any agency other than the police, the police will have no objection. The police have detained one person in the case.
