The ticket was for sleeper but to avoid the heat they boarded AC coach, these passengers will remember the journey for a lifetime
When the passengers were asked the reason for pulling the chain, they gave different answers. One passenger said, I was sleeping and the next station is quite far from my station. I have a lot of luggage, it would have cost a lot of money to bring my family and luggage. But the penalty that the railways will impose for pulling the chain will be less than the fare. One passenger said that the place where his train halts at night is quite far from the village and there are no transport available at night. That is why he pulled the train. The RPF was stunned to hear such answers from passengers. However, the arguments of the passengers did not work and they had to pay the fine.
Indian Railways has requested passengers not to pull the alarm chain without any sufficient reason. This causes inconvenience to the passengers. The train is not able to run on time. Apart from this, it has been seen many times that due to such chain pulling, students miss their exams, sick people are not able to get timely treatment. In the Railway Act, in case of chain pulling without any reason, there is a punishment of 6 months to 1 year and a fine of Rs 1000.
