Tips to avoid heat and sunstroke
Many states of the country are in the grip of severe heat and heat wave. Amidst the increasing heat day by day, the Ministry of Health on Sunday advised employers to adopt necessary heat safety measures at the workplace. Through an animated post on the social media platform, the ministry explained how measures should be taken to avoid heat at the workplace. The Health Ministry called upon employers to provide proper drinking water facilities at the workplace and also explained the importance of scheduling outdoor work during the day and giving rest time to employees.

Schedule outdoor tasks only when the weather is cool and allow the employee to rest.”

Along with this, employers have also been advised to train employees to recognize the symptoms of heat-related illness. The ministry said, headache, dizziness, dehydration and breathing problems are common symptoms of heat-related illness. Exposure to extreme heat can affect health, ranging from rashes on the body to serious and potentially fatal health problems such as heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
Know the symptoms of heatstroke, go to hospital immediately
Very hot winds (loo) are blowing outside during the afternoon. Due to this, the risk of heat stroke is the highest. There is also a risk of diarrhea, typhoid, skin infection due to this. Some precautions should be taken to protect from the sun and extreme heat.
When the sun shines intensely, the body starts losing water and because of this, one feels very thirsty. Along with this, headache starts. Vomiting, dizziness, fever and excessive sweating are the symptoms of heat stroke. Many people faint due to heat.
If you stay in heat for a long time, sweating stops completely and this is a danger signal. If you stop sweating, then understand that you have suffered heat stroke. Heat stroke should be taken seriously because it can damage vital organs like kidney, liver and it can also prove fatal.
If you suffer from heat stroke, you should immediately go to the hospital.
