New Delhi: As soon as April starts, the heat has started showing its colors. The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave alert in many states of South India for the next few days. IMD has predicted heat wave to continue in Andhra Pradesh till April 4. Rayalaseema, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and Gangetic West Bengal are recording maximum temperatures between 41-42 degrees Celsius.
It is extremely hot here
On Monday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 42.2 degrees Celsius in Kurnool and 41.6 degrees Celsius in Gulbarga. Whereas in Malegaon, Solapur in Maharashtra the temperature is being recorded around 41-42 degrees. The maximum temperature was recorded at 41.5 degrees in Rajnandgaon of Chhattisgarh and 41.7 degrees in Asansol of West Bengal.
How will the weather be in Delhi?
The Meteorological Department has predicted partly cloudy sky and strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 km per hour in the national capital on Tuesday. At the same time, the maximum temperature is expected to be 33 and the minimum temperature will be 18 degree Celsius. The temperature is likely to remain between 33 to 37 degrees Celsius for the next seven days. There is no forecast of heat wave during this period. According to the IMD forecast, Delhi will have generally cloudy skies and strong winds during the next four days.
Heat is going to increase in UP
There is going to be intense heat in Uttar Pradesh also in the next few days. According to Lucknow Meteorological Department, this year there will be heat wave along with strong sunshine in the state. The effect of extreme heat will be seen in June-July. In many districts of the state, the maximum temperature is likely to be around 40 degrees Celsius during the next 24 hours. In many districts including Lucknow, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36 degrees during the last 24 hours.
‘Orange alert’ of rain for Northeast
The Meteorological Department has issued an ‘Orange Alert’ of heavy rain for many states of the North-East. Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh may receive heavy rains. Thunderstorms, heavy rains and strong winds blowing at a speed of 30-40 kilometers per hour are expected in these states. On Monday, there was heavy rain in many northeastern states including Assam and Mizoram. Many houses and churches were damaged due to heavy rain and hailstorm in many parts of Mizoram.
Four people died in Assam, 53,000 affected
Four people have died while 53,000 people have been affected in incidents related to rain and lightning in Assam. Officials gave this information on Monday. A four-year-old child died and two people went missing after a boat capsized in the Brahmaputra in South Salmara-Mankachar district on Sunday night, while one each in storm- and lightning-related accidents in Cachar, West Karbi Anglong and Udalguri. The person died.
