IMD Weather Update News: The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rains in East Rajasthan, East Madhya Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa and Central Maharashtra. Heavy rains may occur in these areas on Monday. But heat will trouble people in the entire NCR including Delhi. There is no possibility of rain in Delhi, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Noida for the next two-three days.
The Meteorological Department said that the monsoon is in its active mode at this time. There is a deep pressure over north-east Madhya Pradesh, while there is low pressure in south-west Rajasthan. Due to this pressure of monsoon, there may be very heavy rainfall in western Madhya Pradesh, eastern Rajasthan, Gujarat, Konkan region, Goa and central Maharashtra. IMD scientist Dr. Naresh Kumar said that a red alert has also been issued in these areas. The Meteorological Department has said that there will be no rain in Delhi-NCR for the next two days.
The IMD has predicted light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Rajasthan in the next seven days. Uttar Pradesh may receive sporadic to heavy rainfall during the week starting August 5. Light rain is expected in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi.
The IMD has predicted that during the week, Konkan, Goa and Gujarat regions may receive light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning. Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Saurashtra and Kutch may also receive rain at some places.
South Peninsular will also receive rainfall in Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka during the next 5 days. The Meteorological Department has said that the monsoon trough passes through Bikaner, Jaipur, Satna, North Jharkhand and the center of the depression in the neighborhood, Bankura, Canning, then moves southeast to the north-east Bay of Bengal.
