According to the Meteorological Department, heatwave is going to wreak havoc in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, many parts of Rajasthan, UP, north-western parts of Madhya Pradesh. There is a possibility of severe heatwave in UP, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. Heatwave alert has been issued for these states.
According to the Meteorological Department, West Bengal is also going to experience severe heat. Apart from this, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, eastern areas of Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Kutch of Gujarat, Odisha and Vidarbha areas of Maharashtra are also going to be affected by the heatwave. Bihar, Jharkhand, Goa and Konkan areas will also experience severe heat. Due to the heatwave, the maximum temperature can cross 45 degrees Celsius. In some states, the maximum temperature is expected to go above 47 degrees. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has also said that there is a possibility of rain in the peninsular states of South India for the next 3 days. This will provide relief from the heat to the people living in these states.
