According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of heat wave is going to be seen in Bihar, Jharkhand, Ganga coastal areas of West Bengal, Odisha, Central Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and interior parts of Karnataka. The Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave alert for all these places. The effect of heat wave will also be visible in 10 districts of Madhya Pradesh. According to the Meteorological Department, there may be storm along with lightning in the Ganga coastal areas of West Bengal and Odisha. There is also a possibility of rain in both the states in a few days.
The Meteorological Department estimates that it will be hot in North-East Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland and Tripura and people will have to face humidity. Similar weather will also be seen in Saurashtra of Gujarat and coastal areas of Kutch, Konkan, Kerala and Karnataka. The mercury may also cross 44 degrees Celsius in southern Karnataka, Rayalaseema, coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. According to the Meteorological Department, apart from Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Uttarakhand, Himalayan areas of West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha and North-Eastern states, there is a possibility of storm in Tamil Nadu also.
The Meteorological Department has predicted that strong winds will blow in the southern areas of UP, Delhi, Haryana and Rajasthan. There is a possibility of rain with storm in eastern areas of UP, Bihar and Jharkhand. With this, people are expected to get some relief from the scorching heat. There may be light rain along with thunderstorm in Rajasthan also. At the same time, the Meteorological Department has predicted light rain in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. The Meteorological Department had already predicted that most parts of the country are going to experience scorching heat this time compared to other years. However, due to western disturbance, snowfall and rain are being seen in the hilly states.
