New Delhi: The weather has changed in many states of the country including Delhi-NCR. Somewhere it is cloudy, somewhere the weather has become pleasant due to rain. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rain in coastal Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Madhya Maharashtra, Konkan, Goa, Odisha and Andaman and Nicobar Islands during the next 24 hours.
Possibility of rain till June 26
Apart from these states, heavy rains are expected in different areas of sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Gujarat till June 26. During this period, 115.5-204.4 mm of rain is expected in these states. Strong winds may also blow during this period.

The sky remained cloudy in Delhi on Monday evening and light rain occurred in some areas of the national capital including Lutyens Delhi. While the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of rain in the country, it has also issued a heatwave alert in many states. In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature of 45.0°C was recorded in Jaisalmer (Western Rajasthan) across the country. The Meteorological Department says that temperatures are being recorded between 38-40°C in different parts of Haryana-Chandigarh-Delhi, NCR, Eastern UP and Bihar.
It may rain in Rajasthan after three days
An official of the regional meteorological department of Rajasthan said that the maximum temperature is likely to increase by two to three degrees Celsius in Jodhpur, Bikaner division and some parts of Shekhawati region during the next 72 hours. He said that the maximum temperature is likely to reach 43 to 45 degrees Celsius in the next 72 hours and heat wave is likely to occur at some places. Heavy rain is expected at many places on Thursday and Friday.
