Chhattisgarh as well as its neighbouring states Odisha and eastern Madhya Pradesh are also likely to receive heavy rains and thunderstorms on Thursday.

According to the Meteorological Department, Konkan, Goa, East Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Odisha are all expected to receive extremely heavy rains. Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Sikkim and Gujarat are likely to receive heavy rainfall. Light to moderate rains may occur at many places.
Heavy rain alert in Uttarakhand for next two days

People living in low-lying areas need to be especially careful. There will be sunshine during the day, but there will be heavy rain at night. There will be a lot of rain in a short time. Heavy rain can occur in just one or two hours.
