Ecuador Landslide
Quito: Heavy rains have become a problem for people in Ecuador. Due to a landslide in central Ecuador, debris fell on a highway, in which at least six people were buried dead and 30 others are missing. Giving information about this incident, officials said that due to heavy rains, rivers are in spate across the country. Due to heavy rains in Ecuador, normal life has been badly affected.
Circumstances are frightening
Mud and debris slid down a hill in the city of Baños, also known as Ecuador’s resort town, and fell on three cars, two houses and a bus, according to the city’s fire department. Fire department deputy chief Capt. Angel Barriga told The Associated Press that rescue workers were treating nine injured people and six bodies had been recovered from the disaster site, while more than 30 people were feared trapped in the mud.
Heavy rain increased trouble
Let us tell you that heavy rains have been falling in Ecuador and other parts of the region for the last several days. Earlier this week, two children were killed in a landslide in El Salvador. Due to storms across Ecuador, mud and floodwater have accumulated on highways and bridges, damaging the main roads connecting the country to the Amazon provinces.
