'Her Pakistani sister -in -law', Bhopal woman accused her husband and in -laws of conversion

In Madhya Pradesh’s capital Bhopal, a case of pressure on a woman to adopt Islam religion has come to light. The love story that started with a promise has taken a worrying turn, due to which a woman has to knock on the door of the women’s police station in Bhopal for the second time. The woman says that after marriage to her husband Ghanim Ali, everything was initially well, but after some time her husband and in -laws started pressuring her to change religion, in which her Pakistani sister -in -law was also supporting her.

According to a report by News18.com, the woman has alleged in her new complaint that since marriage, her husband Ghanim Ali, father -in -law Gajanfar Ali, mother -in -law Saleka Ali, husband’s sister Ujma Ali, husband’s elder brother Ghazi Ali and his wife Sana Habib are pressurizing her to adopt Islam. Angered by her husband Ghanim Ali and her family, Niharika once again approached the Bhopal police and accused them of pressure, physical abuse and threats for conversion.

The first complaint was lodged with the police on 31 May 2024.
Niharika first filed a complaint against her husband and her family on 31 May 2024, but withdrew the complaint the next day after promising to resolve the case, but that agreement has not yet been completed. After this, Niharika, who is getting frustrated and constantly harassment, again approached the police and explained in detail about the misbehavior with her.

Case registered against accused husband
Due to pressure and physical torture, Niharika is staying at her relative’s house in Delhi, but her in -laws are still threatening her on the phone and some of her personal videos are making her viral on social media. When the police investigated the woman’s complaint, it was found that her husband is an accused in the case, after which an FIR was registered under the Religious Freedom Act. The woman has written in the application that her husband’s sister -in -law is Pakistani.

Niharika claims that when he denied conversion, he faced physical abuse. She alleged that the issue of conversion was first raised by her husband’s sister -in -law Sana Habib, who suspects that she is associated with a conversion organization. Niharika believes that by interrogating Sana, the conspiracy can be revealed to be completely revealed, saying that Sana is trying to escape from the country. Niharika also stated that her in -laws had threatened her family that if she took any legal action, she would cause her physically damage, due to which she had to come to Delhi to stay with her younger sister. Despite the threats, he decided to file a complaint due to frequent harassment. Niharika has demanded immediate seizure, investigating and strict legal action against the accused’s mobile phones.
