New Delhi. Supreme has given great relief to Teesta Setalvad, accused of tampering with evidence in Gujarat riots. Actually, the court has granted interim bail to Teesta Setalvad. According to the court, Teesta has been in police custody for the last 60 days. But, SG Tusar Mehta, appearing for the Gujarat government, said that Teesta is not answering any questions during interrogation. Answering every question only by saying that they do not know anything. They are not cooperating in any way in the investigation. Let us inform that in the past, Teesta was arrested on charges of conspiracy against the then Chief Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi in the Gujarat riots case. Teesta had challenged the order of the SIT probe which had given clean chit to Narendra Modi in the Gujarat riots case.
He had demanded a re-investigation of the matter. In this connection, in the past, the Supreme Court, while rejecting the petition of Zakia Jafri, had justified the investigation of the SIT and the court sent Teesta, who had filed a foreign petition against PM Modi, to judicial custody. At the same time, today he has been granted bail after completing 60 days of judicial custody.

However, Teesta will be barred from going abroad for now due to interim bail. They have to submit their passport. Meanwhile, whenever he is called for questioning by the investigating agency, he will have to appear. He will then be questioned in detail in the context of the matter. Now in such a situation, what action is taken against Teesta in the coming days. All eyes will be on this.
Arguments presented by both sides
Let us tell you that during the hearing arguments have been presented from both the sides. Meanwhile, there was a tussle between Tushar Mehta and Kapil Sibal, appearing for the Gujarat government. Sibal said during the hearing that so far 164 people have been given life imprisonment in the Gujarat riots case, so how can you say that no action has been taken against anyone so far. On the other hand, Tushar Mehta, appearing for the Gujarat government, said that they have been doing all this since 2002. Pointing fingers at institutions should not be allowed. Tushar said that Teesta, who raised funds in the name of Gujarat riots, had not done anything for the benefit of the victims, but on the contrary used it to buy wine for herself.
