Lucknow . The Uttar Pradesh Police has been kept on high alert after the terrorist attack on Tuesday in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. UP DGP Prashant Kumar has instructed all the police officers of the state to be vigilant and strengthen the security system.
In view of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the international border adjacent to Nepal in Uttar Pradesh and bus stations and railway stations of all districts is being monitored strictly. The UP Police has been asked to be on alert to deal with any unpleasant situation.
It is noteworthy that on Tuesday, terrorists attacked Pahalgam Hill station in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir. 16 tourists, including two foreigners, were killed and 20 other tourists and locals were injured in the attack. However, the number of dead may increase further. The whole world has condemned this attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also keeping an eye on it.
The Indian security forces are monitoring the area immediately for this incident. According to the information given by the army, “The joint force is monitoring the status. The medical teams were immediately deployed and the work of evacuating the casualties was started. A joint search operation has been launched by the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police in the general area of Basseran, Pahalgam, Anantnag, which is still continuing to bring the attackers.”
Union Home Minister Amit Shah arrived in Srinagar to preside over an immediate review meeting and security forces launched a massive campaign to search criminals. According to the list released by the officials, the 16 people killed include one person from Nepal and UAE.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha present in Delhi, reached Srinagar at around 8.20 pm and in the presence of Lieutenant Governor, DGP and other senior officials, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah gave a brief information about the terror incident. After this, the Home Minister went to Raj Bhavan to preside over the high -level security meeting. He will also meet the injured tourists and locals in the hospital in Srinagar, where they are undergoing treatment, and will visit the terrorist attack site on Wednesday.
