Nahan. Police arrested a youth on social media in Nahan, Himachal Pradesh. Fruit and vegetable vendor youth has been arrested on charges of putting objectionable posts in support of Pakistan at Paonta Sahib in Sirmaur district. During ‘Operation Sindoor’, this young man posted anti -national posts.
According to the police, the accused has been identified as Suleman. He is a resident of Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh. The police have registered a case under treason and started further investigation.
Speaking to the media, SP NS Negi of the district said that in Badripur, Paonta Sahib, a youth belonging to a particular community running fruit and vegetable was making objectionable comments on social media.
SP NS Negi said that when India was running a mission vermilion against Pakistan, a number of posts were posted on social media from the young man at that time. After receiving the information about this, the police became active and the police registered a case against the accused at the police station Paonta Sahib.
Giving information, he said that the police took action and succeeded in arresting the accused from Saharanpur in Uttar Pradesh on Monday. He said that the police is taking further action in the case. The police have appealed to the public that such anti -India posts should be avoided on social media. Police say that such activities will not be tolerated under any circumstances and under cyber surveillance, anti -national elements are being closely monitored on social media.
It is noteworthy that recently the state governments have been strict about the objectionable post on social media. Action has also been taken at many places during this period.
