Udaipur. Hindmetal Exploration Services Private Limited (HESPL), a fully owned subsidiary of Hindustan Zinc Limited, has set a new example in the field of mineral investigation. The company has introduced the use of this technology in India by implementing advanced electromagnetic (EM) technology.
This technique uses two major methods to detect minerals under the ground – borhole EM and squid sensor. Borhole EM provides high-resolution information of the shape and conductivity of the EM sulfide deposits such as conductive ore bodies, while squid sensors on the surface are also able to catch highly weak electromagnetic signs. This makes it easier to identify the mineral goals with less conductivity or deeply buried in depth.
HESPL is also using this technique equipped with laidar and hyperpactral imaging drones, which help to prepare a high-resolution map of large areas. The company is focusing on known mining areas as well as greenfield explorations to identify new mineral areas.
For this, various data sets such as geologists, geophysical, geophysical and satellite paintings are being integrated and analyzed with AI and machine learning models. This process makes the exploration work more accurate, sharp and economical.
Arun Mishra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc, said,
“Future of mineral exploration depends on the confluence of science and smart technology. We are committed to promoting digital innovation, empowering our people and partnership with emerging technical startups. Hindmetal’s achievements are not just a milestone of searching, but also strengthens strategic autonomy in important minerals of India.”
Base has been expertly expected in the base metal exploration for more than two decades, works with a specialist team in the Hindmetal, Geology, Geophysics, Remote Sensing, GIS and Drilling. The company has certification from Quality Council of India – National Acridation Board for Education and Training, under which it has the status of A Class Investigation Agency in the Guidelines of the Government of India.
HESPL aims to expose the hidden capacity of India’s mineral resources with a combination of technology, talent and data intelligence and create a sustainable future of mining for the country.
