Once again the incident of attacking Hindu temples has come to the fore in Pakistan. This time the Nariyan Pora Hindu temple in Karachi, Pakistan was attacked by the extremists. The idol of Durga Mata’s head was beheaded after the extremists ransacked the Durga Mata temple. The incident was reported on Twitter by a Pakistani journalist. The journalist also told that this is the 9th time in the last 22 months that Hindu temples have been attacked.
A Pakistani journalist has informed in his tweet that this is the 9th attack on temples in less than two years, despite the notice given by the Supreme Court and the government’s claims of protection of temples. It seems as if criminals have been given an open ground. It is noteworthy that even before this many temples have been attacked by the fundamentalists. However, the Supreme Court has taken a very strict stand in this matter.

Some time ago when the temple of Lord Ganesha was attacked by some fanatics in the Punjab province of Pakistan, summons were also sent by the Supreme Court to the Chief Secretary of Punjab Province and the Inspector General of Police. Apart from this, Prime Minister Imran Khan promised only after 24 hours that he would get the temple renovated soon. Last year, when the temple in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa of Pakistan was attacked by extremists, the Supreme Court also gave a decision on its restoration. Apart from this, Rs 3.30 crore was also collected from the accused who attacked the temple to rebuild the temple.
