Arvind Kejriwal Arrest: In the Delhi Excise scam case, the local court of Delhi has sent CM Arvind Kejriwal to the remand of Enforcement Directorate (ED) till March 28. Along with this, the court has given many instructions to the investigating agency regarding Kejriwal. The court has given orders to the investigating agency that as soon as Kejriwal’s remand ends on March 28, he will have to be produced in the court by 2 pm.
It is known that on Friday evening, Delhi’s Rouse Avenue Court had sent Kejriwal to 6-day ED remand till March 28. The court has said in its instructions that the interrogation of Arvind Kejriwal will be done under the surveillance of CCTV cameras and his footage and electronic data will be kept safe.
The court said that under Section 41-D of CrPC, accused Arvind Kejriwal was allowed to meet his lawyers Mohammad Irshad and Vivek Jain from 6 pm to 7 pm. At the same time, the court allowed Arvind Kejriwal to meet his wife Sunita Kejriwal and personal secretary Vibhav Kumar for half an hour every day.
It is known that Arvind Kejriwal is suffering from a disease called Hyperglycemia. An application was filed on his behalf in the court that along with the necessary medicines, he should be allowed to eat home-cooked food as per the treatment. In view of the poor health of Arvind Kejriwal, the court has ordered the ED that if they do not provide him the diet recommended by the doctors, then he will be allowed to eat home food.
