Srinagar . Union Home Minister Amit Shah, who was present on a three-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, will hold a security review meeting on Tuesday. After staying overnight at Raj Bhavan in Srinagar, he will start his busy program from around 11 am and will also review various development projects in the Union Territory.
The Development Review meeting to be chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah will also include Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
After this, the Home Minister will preside over a security review meeting, which will include Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan, IB Director Tapan Deka, Senior Officers of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Jammu and Kashmir Police, head of Jammu and Kashmir Police, head of paramilitary forces and officials of intelligence agencies. Both these meetings are going to be held at Raj Bhavan.
After visiting Jammu and Kashmir on Monday, Amit Shah visited the Humhama area near Srinagar International Airport. Here he met the family of Jammu and Kashmir Police Deputy SP Shaheed Humayun Bhat. The Home Minister expressed his condolences to the family. He stayed with Humayun’s father, retired IGP Ghulam Hasan Bhat for about 20 minutes. He also conveyed the martyr police officer’s wife Fatima and blessed the 20 -month -old child of the officer. The Home Minister was accompanied by LG Manoj Sinha and CM Omar Abdullah while meeting the martyr’s family.
Please tell that Humayun was martyred on 13 September 2003 while fighting a group of terrorists in the forests of Kokranag tehsil of Anantnag district. The officer was posthumously awarded the Kirti Chakra for his bravery.
The Home Minister then went to Raj Bhavan, where he met some persons and delegations. During the visit of Jammu, Amit Shah also met the families of the four policemen who were martyred while fighting terrorists in Kathua district.
During the conversation in Jammu, he said that terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir has decreased, but has not yet ended completely. He assured that soon the situation would be completely normal. He held a meeting with BJP and RSS members in a closed room with members of BJP and RSS at Jammu’s residence in Jammu Legislative Assembly.
On Monday, during a visit to the BSF border post in Kathua, the Home Minister praised the BSF as a specific border sentinel force of the country.
He said that BSF is being provided state -of -the -art technology for full technology -based monitoring of Seema. He told the BSF personnel deployed that the country greatly respects the force due to the security of the border and their commitment to duty.
He told BSF officials and soldiers that you perform your duty under highly adverse conditions throughout the year. The BSF has a glorious past and you are really entitled to the reputation that the BSF has earned among the countrymen.
After completing his program in Srinagar, Amit Shah will return to Delhi in the afternoon.
