Motivational programs will be held for youth throughout the year, Sarangadeva family’s significant contribution in Khanua war – Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot
Udaipur. On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Rana Sanga, a ceremony of descendants of the kings-emperors who died in the war between Maharana Sanga and Babur was organized for the first time on behalf of Rajasthan Heritage Authority Protection at the historic war memorial site in Khanua in Bharatpur district. Inspirational programs for the youth will also be organized in this event. The function was inaugurated by Jawahar Singh Bedham, the Home Minister of the Government of Rajasthan, who inaugurated it by cutting the lace of the gate on the battle site.
The descendants and general public of the kings and emperors who were martyred before the ceremony laid a wreath on the life-size statue of Maharana Sanga.
Rawat Joga Kanod, a descendant of Joga Kanod and Vice Chancellor of Rajasthan Vidyapeeth, Prof. Shiv Singh Sarangdevot was also present. During this time, Minister of State Jawahar Singh Bedham, Rajasthan Heritage Authority Conservation Chairman Omkar Singh Lakhawat, and Mahendra Singh Mags Prof. Sarangadevot was honored by offering Underan, Safa, Citation and Talwar.
Minister of State Bedham said at the ceremony that Maharana Sanga performed indomitable courage and valor in the battle of Khanua, uniting all the kings and emperors of India to protect the country, religion and culture. He said that Maharana Sanga fought 100 wars, out of which 99 conquered and dusted foreign invaders in the wars of Bayana and Khatauli. In addition, an additional amount of Rs 3 crore has been sanctioned by Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma for the development of Khanua War Memorial, which will lead to overall development of the region and providing inspirational information to the youth through digital technology.
On this occasion, the Chairman of Rajasthan Heritage Authority Protection, Omkar Singh Lakhawat said that Maharana Sanga’s views and his descendants are still alive. He described the descendants of brave martyrs who took part in the Khanua war for the first time as a historic moment and announced that now a program will be organized in the name of each martyr at this memorial.
Colonel Prof. Shivsingh Sarangdevot said, “The war of Khanwa is not just the story of a war, but the inspirational saga of the heroes who died for valor, self-sacrifice and motherland.” Referring to the valor and tradition of Maharana Sanga, he said that his self -strength was so strong that he gave India a new direction.
The descendants of various brave martyrs were honored at the ceremony, including Mrityunjay Singh, descendants of Gokul Singh Parmar, Rao Randhir Singh Bhinder, descendant of Rana Sanga, Shivsingh Sarangdevot Kachher, descendant of Rao Joga Kanod, Mahesh Pratap Singh, Mrigraj Singh, descendant of Manak Chand Chauhan, Mrigraj Singh, Jhala Aja descendant Karan Singh Jhala, Pundarakshi Singh Jhala, Pushrakshi Singh, Pushprakti Singh, Rao Ratan Singh Mehta, Rao Ratan Singh Mendrakshi Singh Karan Vijay Singh Mainpuri, a descendant of Singh Kudki and Chandrabhan Singh, was honored. All of them were honored by offering safa, ignorant, citation and sword.
The leaders and descendants of the martyrs present at the ceremony appreciated the efforts of the Rajasthan government and described such events as important for empowering the national heritage and Indian culture.
