New Delhi. Congress leader Shashi Tharoor wrote something on the landslide in Wayanad, Kerala, due to which trolls started following him. They started saying, are you celebrating the accident? Tharoor also came under the target of BJP. Now Tharoor himself has explained the meaning of this word. He told why he used this word. Even then the users did not listen. They surrounded him. They asked, I have never heard that ‘someone’s death should be memorable…’
Actually, Tharoor reached with relief material for the people affected by the landslide. He distributed it among them and shared their pain. Later he posted pictures of this on social media. He wrote, ‘Some memories of a ‘memorable day’ in Wayanad.’ As soon as he posted, people started lashing out. People asked, why did you use the word ‘memorable’. Is disaster like a celebration for you? Another commented, ‘Disasters and deaths are memorable for Shashi Tharoor.’
Never have heard someone say “I attended my father’s memorable funeral”
“9/11 was a memorable feat of Al Qaeda.”
