Is it okay to work out every day: The desire for a good body and great fitness pulls people towards the gym. In today’s time, a large number of people can be seen going to the gym and working out. The craze for gyms is increasing rapidly not only among the youth, but also among the middle-aged and senior citizens. Many people go to the gym on time every day and do not leave a gap of even a single day. However, many people go to the gym only 3-4 days a week. In such a situation, there is confusion among people about how many days in a week going to the gym is beneficial for health.
Dev Singh, trainer at Noida’s Fortier Fitness Academy, told AnyTV For those who come to the gym to maintain their fitness, it is considered good to workout 3 to 5 days a week. If a person is healthy and is coming to the gym only 2 days a week, then also it can be considered beneficial for health. It is not advisable to workout daily in the gym, because exercising daily will not give rest to the body and will lead to overtraining. This can cause many problems including muscle strain and fatigue. Therefore, rest is also very important.
Fitness trainer Dev Singh said that people who are athletes or are into sports should exercise 6 days a week. For such people, 1 day of rest is considered sufficient. Normal people should rest at least 2 days a week and exercise only for 4-5 days. During rest, our body is in recovery mode and muscle growth takes place during this time. Therefore, one should avoid going to the gym every day and working out for hours and should exercise only as per the guidelines of a qualified trainer.
Why does one experience pain in hands and legs when one exercises a lot on the first day of going to the gym? On this, the fitness trainer said that after starting the gym, everyone should first do mobility, stretching and warming up. Only after this, cardio and weight training should be started. Suddenly going to the gym and doing heavy exercises puts more pressure on our joints and muscles, which causes pain in hands and legs. To avoid this problem, one should start exercising slowly. Intense exercises are recommended only after strengthening the joints.
