Hyderabad. The Congress government is fulfilling every promise made before coming to power. Under this, six guarantees have been started. First, the Revanth Reddy government started free bus travel for women, then the limit of Arogya Sri has been increased from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh. Later, the Revanth government, which started the free electricity scheme up to 200 units, is providing gas cylinders to the eligible people for Rs 500. Apart from this, the government has announced that it will waive the loan of Rs 2 lakh of farmers at once and it is taking rapid steps in this direction.
Earlier, loans of up to one lakh rupees of farmers were waived off. In this regard, loans up to one lakh rupees of eligible farmers’ accounts were waived off on July 18. Loans up to one lakh were deposited in the farmers’ accounts along with interest. Whereas, the Congress government had said that it would waive off Rs 1.50 lakh of farmers before July 31, which was deposited in the farmers’ accounts on July 30. A total of more than 18 lakh farmers have benefited from this.
However, loans of Rs 1.50 lakh to Rs 2 lakh taken before August 15 will be waived off. In this regard, officials can release the list of loan waivers anytime after August 12. In this regard, farmers can check the list on this website https://clw.telangana.gov.in/Login.aspx. If there is no detail related to that list, then officials say that they should contact the concerned AEO.
As promised by the ruling Congress, loans of farmers who had taken loans up to Rs 1 lakh were waived in the first phase starting from July 18 and an amount of Rs 6,098 crore was released for this purpose. The government had launched the second phase of loan waiver up to Rs 1.50 lakh on July 15 with an outlay of Rs 6,198 crore.
