Researchers at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia have told that for better health, how many hours out of 24 hours a day should people spend sitting, standing, sleeping and doing physical activity. New York Post Report According to this, scientists of Swinburne University had conducted a study on the health of about 2000 people, in which it was found that for best health, people should get better sleep of 8 hours daily. People should stand for 5 hours a day and sit for 6 hours. Apart from this, light and moderate physical activity should be done for 4 hours every day. Doing physical activity regularly for 4 hours will improve glycemic control and promote heart health. Moderate to vigorous physical activity may include brisk walking or cycling, jogging, jumping and aerobic dance.
According to researchers, light physical activity can mean anything from walking to cooking and completing household chores to laughing out loud. Swinburne’s team advises people to get 8 hours and 20 minutes of sleep to improve overall health. According to scientists, one should avoid sleeping less or longer than this. Researchers say that sitting less and standing more, getting physical activity and sleeping are associated with better cardiometabolic health. This improves overall health and reduces the risk of diseases.
