Currently, the season of Lok Sabha elections 2024 is going on in India. From political parties to the general public, everyone is busy in this election. Two phases of voting have taken place for the Lok Sabha elections on 19 April and 26 April 2024. Elections were held on 102 seats in the first phase and 88 seats in the second phase. After two phases of voting, various parties are claiming their victory and lead. However, now Union Home Minister and BJP leader Amit Shah has also given information about how many seats BJP and its allies are expected to get in the two phases.
BJP+ ahead on how many seats?
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that everyone knows that 2 phases of the 7 phase elections have ended. After these two phases, according to the internal assessment of our party, BJP and its allies together have crossed the 100 mark. And we are moving forward with great confidence towards our target of crossing 400 with the blessings and support of the public.
BJP is a supporter of reservation for SC/ST, OBC – Amit Shah
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has said that since few days Congress has started twisting our target of crossing 400. They are spreading false propaganda that after crossing 400, BJP will change the Constitution and end reservation. Both these things are baseless and factless. Congress wants to create confusion among the public by spreading lies. I want to make one thing clear that BJP is a supporter of reservation for SC/ST, OBC and will always play its role as its protector.
We will end reservation on the basis of religion- Amit Shah
Amit Shah said that if any political party has made a dent in the reservation of SC/ST, OBC, then it has been made by the Congress Party. First of all he gave reservation to Muslims in united Andhra Pradesh, due to which OBC reservation was cut. After that, overnight in Karnataka, without any survey or determination of backwardness, they put all the Muslims in OBC category and reserved 4% quota for them, due to this the reservation of backward class has also been cut. BJP clearly believes that reservation on the basis of religion is unconstitutional and whenever we come to power in these states, we will work to provide justice to SC/ST and OBC by ending the reservations imposed on the basis of religion.
