Aadhaar- is a 12-digit unique identification number issued to the citizens of the country. UIDAI (Unique Identification Authority of India) is authorized by the central government for this Aadhaar database. Biometric and demographic data is stored in this database. After enrolling for Aadhar card, users can download and print the e-Aadhaar (digital version of Aadhar card) from the UIDAI website.
There are two ways to download E-Aadhaar card. First- by using enrollment number and second- by using Aadhaar number. Know how to download Aadhaar in both these ways:
Using Enrollment Number
Citizens can download their e-Aadhaar by entering 28 digitalized enrollment number, full name and pin code. In this method an OTP is sent to the registered mobile number of the user. Users can use TOPTP instead of OTP if they want. TOTP can be generated through mAadhaar mobile app.
Using Aadhaar Number
If you want, you can also use the 12 digit Aadhaar number to download e-Aadhaar. Apart from Aadhaar, you have to enter your full name and pin code. In this process OTP comes on the registered mobile number. If you want, you can download e-Aadhaar using TOTP instead of OTP. TOTP can be generated through mAadhaar mobile app.
Follow these steps to download e-Aadhaar:
Step 1: First visit the UIDAI website https://uidai.gov.in/ go to
Step 2: After that go to ‘Download Aadhaar’ option and https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/ visit the link
Step 3: Now going to Enter your personal details and tap on Aadhaar
Step 4: After this select Regular Aadhaar and enter the required details like your Aadhaar number, full name and pin code. If you have mAadhaar then you can generate TOTP, else you can choose OTP method.
Step 5: Click on ‘Request OTP’
Step 6: Now enter the 6 digit OTP received on your registered mobile number
Step 7: Complete the survey and click on Download Aadhaar option
