New Delhi. Intermittent rain continues in Delhi. People are facing heavy waterlogging in many areas. Due to heavy waterlogging in many residential areas, there is a danger of spread of diseases like dengue and malaria. On the other hand, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rain in Delhi. Along with this, a red alert has been issued for heavy rain in five states across the country. A yellow alert has been issued for North India and North-East India in view of moderate to heavy rain.
IMD said that the monsoon turf is formed over Delhi, Dehri and the Gangetic plains of West Bengal. On the other hand, cyclonic low pressure is formed near Bangladesh. Low pressure is also formed over southern Pakistan and Tamil Nadu. Due to this, light to moderate rain may occur in northern India. IMD has issued a red alert for rain in Uttarakhand, the southern part of the Ganges in West Bengal, Kerala, southern Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep.

According to RMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places over Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Assam and Meghalaya, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Kerala and Mahe and Lakshadweep. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana-Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura. Light rain is expected over Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat region, Rayalaseema, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, coastal Karnataka and south interior Karnataka.

There is a possibility of storm in many areas. Stormy weather and strong winds blowing at a speed of 35 km per hour to 45 km per hour are expected in many parts of the Arabian Sea. An alert has been issued for many parts of the East Central and South-East Arabian Sea along with South Konkan and Goa coast, Karnataka, Kerala coast, Lakshadweep, Comorin area, Gulf of Mannar.
