Chamba. The result of class 12th has been declared by Himachal Pradesh Education Board. This result has brought happiness for children across the state. For the first time, children of Chamba district also hoisted their flag in the examination and about seven children have appeared in the merit list. In the merit list of 41 children, 31 are from government schools.
Actually, Chintan Sharma, a class 12 student of Government Senior Secondary School, Sillagraat, Chamba, has secured fourth position in the merit list of Arts. His father works as a tailor by profession. The important thing is that Chintan’s school is very far from home and he had to climb two hours of climb every day to reach school. To go to school one had to leave home at 7:30 in the morning. Chintan Sharma is a resident of village Abohar of Gram Panchayat Chambi.
Of the seven children of Chamba, six are from government schools while one student is from a private school. Geetansh Sharma of Government Children’s School, Chamba has secured seventh position in the state in the science stream. Apart from this, Ayushi of Government Girls Senior Secondary School, Chamba has secured seventh position in Commerce stream, Afreen Malik of the same school has secured sixth position in Arts stream and Kamini Thakur has secured tenth position in Arts stream. Pragati Sharma from Government Senior Secondary School, Gargand has secured tenth position in Arts stream, Adrija Gautam from Himalayan Public School, Chuwadi has secured seventh position in Science stream.
Afreen Malik, resident of Sapdi Mohalla in Chamba district, scored 97 percent marks in Arts stream. As soon as this information was received in Afrin’s house, the process of congratulating started. Afrin’s parents congratulated Afrin by feeding him sweets.
Afreen Malik told that he received his education till tenth standard in Tiny Tots School. For this she thanks her teachers. Afrin said that people always say that education in government schools is not good, but this is wrong. She wants to become an IAS officer when she grows up.
