The husband and wife who stole the car on the pretext of a test drive were caught by the police.
Ghaziabad: A shocking news of theft has come from Ghaziabad district of Uttar Pradesh. According to reports, the Loni police station of the district has arrested a husband and wife who stole a car on the pretext of a test drive. According to the police, this couple has committed criminal acts many times before and now the list of their criminal acts is being investigated. Along with the stolen car, the stolen motorcycle used in the incident has also been recovered from their possession.
The accused were arrested during checking
According to the police, on 25th July, a person named Sanjay Tomar had lodged a report in Loni police station that an unknown man and woman had stolen his Brezza car on the pretext of a test drive after asking him to buy it. The police had registered a case and started investigation and a team was formed to arrest the accused. Police said that on 2nd August, the Loni police team was checking. During this time, the accused of theft, 32-year-old Yatendra and his 30-year-old wife Rashmi, were arrested near the outpost area Bathla.
‘Husband and wife together execute the incidents’
Police said that the stolen Brezza car and the motorcycle stolen from Delhi used in the crime have been recovered from their possession. He said that information is being taken from these two about the previous incidents. Police said that during interrogation it was revealed that both husband and wife steal vehicles together because due to the presence of a woman with them, they could easily escape after committing the crime. About a week ago, both of them ran away with a red colour Brezza car from Banthala police station Loni area by asking a second-hand car buyer and seller to take a trial run of the car.
The motorcycle was stolen from Badarpur, Delhi
During interrogation, both of them told that they were going to sell this Brezza car at a low price. According to the police, a motorcycle without a number plate has been recovered from them. Both of them told that they had stolen the motorcycle from Badarpur area of Delhi about a month ago. (IANS)
