A sensational case has come to light from Mumbai, where the black money of a government official killed his wife. Renu Katre, wife of Baburao Katre, who was posted as Deputy Firester in MHADA (Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority) in Samata Nagar police station area of Mumbai committed suicide. It is being told that Baburao used to earn illegal money ranging from 40 to 50 lakh rupees every month, due to which there was a continuous dispute in the house. Renu opposed this black earnings and tried to convince her husband several times, but when Baburao did not improve, she took suicidal steps.
Renu’s body was found hanging in his flat in Raheja Complex in Lokhandwala. After this incident, there was a stir in the entire area. On the complaint of the deceased’s brother, Samata Nagar Police has registered a case of abetment to suicide with physical, mental and economic harassment against Baburao Katre.
Wife used to oppose again and again
The brother of the deceased Renu told the police that while staying in Baburao Mhada, he used to earn a black money of Rs 40-50 lakh every month. Renu continued to oppose it. She wanted the atmosphere of her house to be clean, so that the children would not have any wrong effect. But this protest had no effect on Baburao. On the contrary, he started harassing his wife.
Used to make pressure on father -in -law
The investigation of the case has also revealed that Baburao used to pressurize his father -in -law to convert his illegal earnings into white (white money). Even when Renu’s father refused, Baburao also assaulted Renu. It is alleged that Renu’s father also gave him financial assistance of Rs 15 to 20 lakh due to pressure and fear.
The family was to be met in Pune
Renu’s family was scheduled to meet Baburao in Pune on Sunday, where his father was about to talk directly about this illegal earnings and domestic tension. But on Saturday, Baburao refused the meeting. This caused a deep mental trauma to Renu and the same night he hanged himself.
Accused husband absconding
At present, Samata Nagar Police has registered a case against Baburao Katre and is being searched. According to the police, Baburao is absconding since the incident. In view of the seriousness of the case, the police is investigating every aspect.
