New Delhi. In the Indian Premier League 2024, Sunrisers Hyderabad scored the highest score in the history of the tournament. Batting first after losing the toss, the team scored a huge score of 287 runs for 3 wickets, thanks to Travis Head’s century and Enrique Klaasen’s fifty. Thanks to Dinesh Karthik’s explosive innings, Bangalore scored runs but could not avoid defeat. RCB could reach only 262 runs for 6 wickets and Hyderabad won the match by 25 runs.
Dinesh Karthik’s fast innings went in vain
Dinesh Karthik batted brilliantly and scored an excellent fifty for the team in trouble. After facing 23 balls, he completed fifty runs, hitting 4 fours and as many sixes. He took the match till the end by continuously hitting big shots for the team. He was out after scoring 83 runs on 35 balls and the team could only reach 262 runs for 6 wickets.
Fast start from Virat and Du Plessis
For RCB, which was chasing the huge score of 288 runs, captain Faf du Plessis along with Virat Kohli gave a fast start to the team. Together they scored 80 runs in just 6 overs. Virat was out after scoring 42 runs on 20 balls while Faf scored 62 runs on 28 balls and lost the wicket. It was because of this fast start that the team remained consistent in the match.
Storm of Travis Head, Clasen and Samad
Sunrisers Hyderabad made the highest score in the history of the tournament against Royal Challengers Bangalore. The amazing thing is that the team broke the record of 277 runs scored in the same season and set a record of 287 runs. Opener Travis Head gave the team a fast start by hitting 8 sixes and 9 fours and playing a stormy innings of 102 runs.
After this, Enrique Klaasen came on the field and scored 67 runs on 31 balls, taking the score beyond 200 runs. Coming in the end, Abdul Samad scored 37 runs on 10 balls, taking the score to 287 runs and created history. Apart from this, Adam Markram scored unbeaten 32 runs on 17 balls while Abhishek Sharma scored 34 runs.
