According to TOI report, Abdul Salam, BJP candidate from Malappuram Lok Sabha seat in Kerala, has revealed his insult. He has told that after Eid prayers in a mosque, a 60-year-old Muslim man insulted him and called him a traitor. Salam told that the people standing there remained silent even after hearing this. Maybe this is because he is in BJP.
BJP’s only Muslim candidate
Abdul Salam is the only Muslim candidate of BJP so far in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. When BJP released its first list of 195 candidates, Abdul Salam’s name was also included in it. Abdul Salam is a secular face in Kerala. Salam was the Vice Chancellor of Calicut University and served as Vice Chancellor from 2011 to 2015.
When are the elections in Kerala?
There are a total of 20 Lok Sabha seats in the South Indian state of Kerala. In the second phase of Lok Sabha elections in the state, voting will be held simultaneously on all 20 seats on April 26. Whereas, the counting of votes will be done on June 4, 2024. Let us tell you that Lok Sabha elections 2024 will be completed in a total of 7 phases.
