New Delhi. Supreme Court Bar Association Chief Kapil Sibal suddenly lost his temper during a hearing in the country’s highest court on Wednesday. He appeared before a bench of Justice Bela Trivedi and Satish Chandra Sharma in the ED case related to TMC senior leader Abhishek Banerjee. According to the news on the Bar and Bench website, a heated exchange was seen between the bench and Sibal regarding the date of hearing. Later, the case was postponed for a day.

Actually, the bench of Justice Trivedi and Satish Chandra Sharma was hearing the case related to the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Abhishek Banerjee and his wife. The ED had asked both of them to come to Delhi for questioning. Kapil Sibal is representing Banerjee in this case. He told the bench about his difficulty in arguing the case today. It was said that a group of petitions challenging the Vijay Madanlal decision was listed before another bench at 2 pm today.

The judge said- you have to do something…
Hearing Kapil Sibal, Justice Trivedi remarked, “You have to do something. This is a partially heard case.” Hearing this, Sibal also looked somewhat angry. He firmly replied, “I cannot control the roster. The bench was suddenly formed to review the PMLA law.” Justice Trivedi also replied in an annoyed manner, “Obviously, you cannot control the roster.” After which the hearing was adjourned till Thursday.
