I made a mistake... then he said I will leave Baramati... Why did these statements of Ajit Pawar cause a stir?

The NCP, which suffered a huge defeat in the Lok Sabha elections, is now stuck in the middle. The party is not able to understand in which direction it should move. Assembly elections are round the corner. But, before that the party leadership seems completely confused. Actually, Ajit Pawar had taken over the NCP by rebelling against his uncle Sharad Pawar. But, his 84-year-old uncle dealt with him in such a way during the Lok Sabha elections that he is now nowhere to be seen. Sharad Pawar is called the Chanakya of Maharashtra politics. He has completely put Ajit Pawar on the backfoot with his Chanakya Niti.

Recently, he had given a statement that it was a big mistake to field his wife Sunetra Pawar against cousin Supriya Sule on the Baramati Lok Sabha seat. Many political meanings are being attributed to his statement. Due to this, the entire cadre and leadership of NCP is in a state of confusion. Now Ajit Pawar created a stir by giving another statement on Thursday. Ajit Pawar said in a meeting in Pune that he no longer wants to contest elections from Baramati. He said that after contesting elections from Baramati 7-8 times, he no longer feels like contesting elections from Baramati.

Pawar family’s workplace
Actually, Baramati has been the workplace of the Pawar family. When the NCP was united, Ajit Pawar contested and won the elections from Baramati Assembly and Sharad Pawar from Baramati Lok Sabha seat and after him his daughter Supriya Sule. But, in the last election, the family was divided into two. Then in the Baramati Lok Sabha elections, Sharad Pawar, i.e. his daughter, got the love of the people.

After this latest statement of Ajit Pawar, his faction has created a stir among the leaders. NCP leaders say that they will try to convince Ajit Pawar. According to sources, Ajit Pawar can now field his younger son Jai Pawar from Baramati. On the other hand, Sharad Pawar’s faction is preparing to field Ajit Pawar’s brother’s son Yogendra Pawar from Baramati. Ajit Pawar had earlier also given a statement that fielding his wife Sunetra Pawar against his sister Supriya Sule in the Lok Sabha elections from Baramati was the biggest mistake till date.
