New Delhi. After the death of 2 girl students and 1 boy student in the accident caused by water logging in the basement of Rao IAS Coaching Center located in Old Rajendra Nagar, Delhi, many revelations are being made after the investigation has started. It has already been revealed that a student had complained to the government in June this year, expressing apprehension of an accident. Now, according to the news channel Aaj Tak, after the accident, the investigation of the Municipal Corporation of Delhi i.e. MCD has revealed that the IAS coaching center continued to misuse the building and basement even after the show cause notice. Now the question is that at whose instigation was the owner of the coaching center doing this work even after the government notice? Information has also come to light that Delhi Police will interrogate the concerned officers of MCD in this matter.

According to the news channel, the MCD investigation has revealed that the case of misuse of the basement came to light in 2023 itself. In August 2023, a show cause notice was given to the coaching institute. In 2023, there was a fire incident in Mukherjee Nagar. After which the survey of buildings was started on the orders of the court. The MCD found in its investigation that the coaching institutes were violating the building rules from the basement to the three floors above. This matter had reached the DC of Karol Bagh zone. After this, the coaching center took the NOC from the fire department on 9 July 2024, but did not stop defying the rules of the basement and 3 floors.

The MCD investigation has also revealed that all the coaching centres and other building owners in this area have encroached upon the drains and sewers. This encroachment is in the form of ramps and platforms. The encroachment has made cleaning of drains and sewers and drainage difficult. Due to this, rainwater collects. At the same time, according to the English newspaper The Times of India, at the time of the accident in the IAS coaching centre, there were about 35 students in the basement. A door was installed here which opened only with biometrics. Apart from this, the newspaper has also given information about the divers coming about 2 hours after the accident. The newspaper has also revealed in its news that the pumps were installed late to remove the water filled in the basement.
