The death of Iran’s President Ebrahim Raisi has become a topic of discussion all over the world. Iran’s Foreign Minister and other officials were killed along with him when the plane crashed. Raisi’s plane met with an accident, but some people believe that his plane was crashed as part of a conspiracy. Raisi’s entire life has been surrounded by controversies, but he always set an example by remaining steadfast. Whether their decisions are right or wrong. He always stood firm on them and faced difficult situations boldly as a leader.
Due to his role in the massacre in Tehran in 1998, Raisi was also called the Butcher of Tehran, but even after this he remained firm on his policies and even after becoming the President, controversies did not leave him. Apart from making important contributions in uranium and weapons matters, he also played an important role in the conflict with Israel.
Who was Ibrahim Raisi?
Raisi, who made his mark as a religious leader, always had the qualities of an Islamic religious leader rather than a leader. From kissing the Quran to communicating with America and the whole world, Raisi’s status as a religious leader was visible. He had run Iran’s court and lost the presidential election in 2017. After becoming President, whenever there were disputes in the Middle East, Raisi stood firm and faced them. Even when Israel talked about attacking Tehran, he remained firm and his decision was highly praised.
How to deal with burqa protests?
In the year 2022, there was an uproar in Iran after the death of a woman named Mahsa Amini. This 22-year-old girl was arrested by Iran’s moral police for not wearing a burqa and died while in police custody. After this, protests continued for a long time across the country. Many big countries including America put pressure on Iran to give permission for not wearing burqa, but Raisi strictly followed the rules of Islam and did not make any changes in the rules.
Protests against the burqa resulted in more than 500 deaths, including 71 minors. Hundreds of people were injured and thousands were taken hostage. According to rights organizations, Iran also hanged seven people in this case. Many journalists, lawyers, volunteers, students, teachers, artists, leaders, minorities and relatives of the protesters lost their lives during the protests. Many people were arrested, threatened and fired from their jobs.
After the death of Hamsa Amini, western countries put pressure on Iran. The US President said that Amini has made an important contribution in building a big movement. In response, Iran said that the attitude of Western countries regarding human rights is double and false. From Iran’s side it was said that they are being opposed due to misunderstanding regarding the rules of Islam.
power to take tough decisions
Raisi had the ability to take tough decisions and this was visible throughout his tenure. There was instability across the country during the burqa protests. There was pressure from outside countries. Many big powers of America and the West were talking about changing the law, but Raisi remained firm on his decision. He had recently shown the same determination against Israel. There was an attack on the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Syria, in which several Iranian citizens were killed. It was feared that this attack was carried out by Israel. To take revenge, Raisi attacked Tel Aviv and fired more than 300 missile drones. After this incident, the relations between the two countries further soured, whereas both the countries have already been fighting for many years.
