New Delhi/Jaipur. ELECRAM is the largest single event in the Indian electrical and allied electronics industry organized by IEMA. The event will be held from February 18 to February 22, 2023 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida. IEEMA and its members will work with the Government of India to achieve a 100-year partnership of electrification, digitization and making India green. The theme of ELECRAMA 2023 is “Reimagine Energy – for a Sustainable Future”. It will showcase innovations and futuristic technologies in a range of areas including storage, green hydrogen, fuel cells, AI and IoT. This edition will also focus on energy conservation, carbon net zero and sustainability through smart consumption.
Hon’ble Minister of Power and New & Renewable Energy, RK Singh said, “I convey my best wishes to IEEMA on the announcement and launch of the 15th edition of ELECRAMA 2023 – World Class Exhibition of Electrical, Industrial Electronics and Allied Industry. We have made major transformational changes in our industry over the past 5 years. We are committed to make the industry climate friendly and we are working vigorously to fulfill the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister of making the world healthier.
I am happy that the focus of ELECRAMA 2023 on energy transition and future technology is in line with the vision of the Government of India for India/2047. We aspire to become a 5 trillion dollar economy and we are one of the fastest growing economies in the world. Electricity is the most important contributor to the country’s energy requirement. Increases in energy consumption are primarily considered to be evidence of rapid economic growth. India is currently the fourth largest country in the world in wind energy, fifth largest in solar energy and fourth largest in renewable energy overall. In the last 7 years, more than USD 70 billion has been invested in renewable energy in India.
Vipul Ray, President, IEEMA said, “The current energy transition is pushing electricity as the dominant form of energy to such an extent that very soon energy and electricity will be synonymous. The growing use of EVs, charging infra, RE and green hydrogen and energy storage is creating a huge business opportunity. Switching the transport sector from fossil fuels to clean energy will make it much easier to achieve the country’s energy goals. The upcoming 15th edition of ELECRAM 2023 will primarily focus on such opportunities and position India as a leading country in terms of technology and solutions for sustainable development.
Jitendra K Aggarwal, President, ELECRAMA said, “The 15th edition of ELECRAM will primarily focus on showcasing innovation and futuristic technology across different sectors. For the growth and success of the industry, there are few areas including start-ups and new businesses that will have unlimited business opportunities in the future. Railways, metros, airports, defence, smart cities, buildings and EV ecosystem are some of the sectors where massive capital investment is being made. Small, medium and small businesses should also be able to participate in the global supply chain. Electrical products and equipment must be reliable, of high quality and safe to support the transmission and distribution base. All this shows how widespread this event is. To fulfill this vision, it will also be necessary to develop the right skills and skills and this is the first priority of ELECRAMA. With the commencement of the Global Energy Transition, we envision a bright future for our industry, as electricity will be of paramount importance in energy.”
Since its inception in 1990, Electrum has grown from 250 exhibitors to 1350 in the last 14 editions and we are proud to share that in the year 2023, approximately 1500 exhibitors will participate.
Vipul Ray, President, IEEMA; Rohit Pathak, Vice President, IEEMA; Hamza Arsiwala, Vice President, IEEMA; Charu Mathur, DG, IEEMA and Jitendra K Agrawal, President, ELECRAMA 2023 were present.
