Cyber crime is increasing rapidly not only in India but in the world.The government advises to complain about cyber crime immediately.In the Parliament, the Central Government gave the figure of recovery of money from cyber criminals.
New Delhi. The Reserve Bank of India and other departments of the Government of India and the police departments have repeatedly given advertisements that giving timely information in case of cyber crime reduces the loss. In many cases, people get their entire money back. The central government on Thursday gave such information, which will encourage the people who have become victims of cyber fraud. The government told the Parliament that more than Rs 2,400 crore has been saved through the ‘Citizen Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System’ established to give immediate information about financial fraud and prevent money laundering by fraudsters.
The central government said that so far this amount has been recovered by solving more than 7.6 lakh cyber crime cases. In a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that ‘Citizen Cyber Fraud Reporting and Management System’ was launched in 2021 under the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Center I4C to prevent money laundering through fraud.

5.8 lakh SIM cards blocked…
The minister said, “So far, financial amount of more than Rs 2,400 crore has been saved in more than 7.6 lakh complaints. A toll-free helpline number ‘1930’ has been started to get assistance in filing cyber complaints online.” The minister said that as per the information given by the police officials, so far more than 5.8 lakh SIM cards and 1,08,000 ‘IMEI’ have been blocked by the government.
