ICC has kept a reserve day for the final match. If the match is not played on the reserve day due to rain, then the joint winner of the tournament will be declared. This means that both India and South Africa will be declared the winner of the T20 World Cup. In the 2002 ICC Champions Trophy, after the match could not be played on the reserve day, both Sri Lanka and India were declared joint winners of the trophy.
