Sadhu angry over violence against Hindus in Bangladesh
Against the violence and riots, attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh, the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad, the apex body of saints and sages of India, on Tuesday urged the United Nations to unanimously pass a resolution condemning the violence against Hindus in Bangladesh. In a letter to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, the council’s president Mahant Ravindra Puri expressed deep concern over the violence against Hindus amid the recent political turmoil in the neighboring country Bangladesh.
The head of the council requested
Council President Mahant Ravindra Puri said, “The whole world is silent about the crimes being committed against Hindu minorities in Bangladesh.” Mahant Puri has urged the United Nations Secretary General to unanimously pass a resolution condemning the “wave of violence against Hindus” in Bangladesh. He said, “We hope that you will understand the sentiments of the saints of the Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad and take necessary steps to control the violence and persecution against Hindus in Bangladesh.”
If the government orders, we are ready to march
Talking to a news channel, Puri also said that if the Indian government allows us, Naga sadhus are ready to march to Bangladesh to save Hindu minorities there. He said, “The atrocities being committed on Hindus in Bangladesh are intolerable. If the Indian government allows, Naga monks, who are born to protect Sanatan, are ready to march to Bangladesh to protect Hindus.”
