Chandigarh Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that when there is cleanliness and yoga in the country, the country will move towards India with pace. International Yoga Day has been started in the state from May 27, 2025 by running a cleanliness drive. Yoga classes have started for organizing 21 June. When Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed yoga in UNO, 177 countries gave their consent on it and yoga extracted from our land has reached every public in the world. The Prime Minister has worked to spread the yoga system all over the world. He said that the International Yoga Day program in Kurukshetra will be historical and grand. Yoga is not a program of any one person or one thought. Our ancient ideology is included in yoga. The sages have given us yoga and attention as a gift. By doing yoga, man remains strong. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini was addressing a meeting organized with institutions on the International Yoga Day in the auditorium of Multiple Culture Center Kurukshetra today.
The Chief Minister urged the officials of institutions, NGOs, business organizations and other organizations present in the assembly to play their role to make the program a success. At the same time, Patanjali Yoga Peeth asked to bring yoga invitation to every house in the city. Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that Rishi Swami Ramdev has done the work of bringing yoga to the country and the world. The arrival of Baba Ramdev on 21 June in Dharmakshetra Kurukshetra of Lord Krishna is a matter of great pride for the people of Kurukshetra. He said that the theme of International Yoga Day this year is an Earth, a healthy, while the Haryana government has added yoga, drug -free Haryana with it.
The Chief Minister said that people have started taking medicines to cure minor diseases, while those diseases can be easily controlled by yoga. Therefore, all of us should adopt yoga.
He said that if we have to save our youth from drugs, then they have to adopt yoga. Yoga enhances our will power. The Chief Minister urged the people of Kurukshetra to reach the Brahmasarovar and Fair Ground at 4 am on June 21 and make their presence felt in this great yagya of yoga. He said that more and more people should be added to this campaign and the responsibility given to which the responsibility has been given to the work of prominence. He said that this is not only Yoga Day but a fair. Just as we celebrate festivals like Deepawali, Holi, Bhaiduj, this International Yoga Day should be celebrated in the same way.
Region distributed into 103 sectors for state level program
It was informed about this program that Brahmasarovar and Mela Ground have been divided into 103 sectors. Of these, 64 sectors are built in Brahmasarovar and 37 sector fair grounds and surrounding areas. Arrangements have been made to do yoga of one thousand seekers in every sector.
Chief Minister administered oath to institutions, NGO officials
The Chief Minister administered an oath to the institutions, NGOs and others present in the auditorium to adopt yoga, pranayama and meditation regularly in life, stay away from drugs and motivate others for this. Apart from this, he also motivated to promote yoga in his family, society and workplace.
Citizens will arrive from every house in the program- Subhash Sudha
Former Minister of State Subhash Sudha said that on June 21, the program of International Yoga Day is a good fortune for the people of Kurukshetra. This program will be seen all over the world. He claimed that citizens will take part in this program from every household in the city. He also demanded the Chief Minister to open a meditation center in the city.
10 lakh yoga practitioners of the state will plant medicinal quality plants- Dr. Jaideep Arya
Yoga Commission Chairman Dr. Jaideep Arya said that on 21 June, environmental protection is being started from Kurukshetra with yoga. He said that 10 lakh yoga practitioners in the state will also plant medicinal quality plants and more than one lakh people in Kurukshetra will set the world record by doing yoga together. On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Neha Singh, Superintendent of Police Nitish Aggarwal and District Council President Kanwaljeet Kaur and other dignitaries were present.
