New Delhi: Congress leader Rashid Alvi’s reaction has come to light regarding the increase in the population of Muslims and decline in the population of Hindus in the country. He said that all the data about the population is available on the internet, this is not a new survey. He said that when elections are taking place, this data has been made public deliberately to divide them between Hindus and Muslims. The Congress leader said that the truth is that according to government data, in 1992, every woman used to give birth to an average of 4.4 children, which came down to 2.6 in 2015.
‘Conduct a survey, poor people have more children’
Rashid Alvi said that Hindu women used to give birth to an average of 3.3 children in 1992, which reduced to 2.1 in 2015, that is, a difference of 0.5 percent. He said, ‘This issue is not about Hindus and Muslims. Conduct a survey in the entire country, poor people have more children. The number of children of those who are educated decreases, hence it is not a problem of Hindus and Muslims. If Prime Minister Modi was so concerned about population growth, then why did he not make any law regarding this since he has been in power for 10 years, because he has to make it an issue in every election.
PM’s Economic Advisory Council had released the report
Let us tell you that the report released by the Prime Minister’s Economic Advisory Council has revealed that between 1950 and 2015, the population of Hindus in India has decreased by 7.82 percent. At the same time, the population of Muslims has increased by 43.15 percent. It has also been claimed in the report that India’s neighboring Hindu majority country Nepal has also seen a decline in the population of Hindus. After the report came out, politics on the issue has also intensified and the phase of rhetoric is going on. (IANS)
