Dr. Santosh Maurya, an Ayurveda expert posted at Khargone Ayurveda Hospital, told Local 18 that people must follow the routine prescribed in Ayurveda to live a healthy life. From waking up in the morning to sleeping at night, from the timing of eating and drinking to what to consume, everything is mentioned in our scriptures. By doing this, people can keep themselves fit.
The right time to wake up
Dr. Santosh Maurya said that although the best time to wake up in the scriptures is considered to be Brahma Muhurta i.e. 4 to 4:30 am. But still a person should leave the bed before sunrise in any case. After this, moral activities like defecating, brushing teeth, exercising when the sun comes out, etc. should be done. One should take bath with hot and cold water according to the weather.
Right time for meals
Breakfast should be taken between 8 and 9 in the morning. Lunch should be taken between 12 and 1 in the afternoon. Eat only homemade food. Fruit juice, milk, curd, buttermilk should also be included in it. After returning from work, after washing face, hands, feet, dinner should be taken between 6 and 7 in the evening. Keep the dinner light.
How many hours of sleep do you get
Dr. Santosh Maurya said that generally 7 to 8 hours of sleep is sufficient for a person. Therefore, one should sleep before 10 pm. This helps in getting full sleep. When you follow this routine, you will feel a positive energy in the body. All stomach related diseases will start going away. You will also get relief from irritability, mental stress, fatigue.
