To call a doctor in case of illness during the journey, passengers can call a doctor in the train at the next station by using RailMadad App or by contacting the Train Conductor/ Travel Ticket Examiner or Train Manager.

In another case, a woman travelling in 17412 Kolhapur-Mumbai Mahalaxmi Express started experiencing labour pain after the train left Lonavala. On receiving the information, a team was ready in Karjat where the woman was taken to the hospital. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl.
