A seven -year -old girl called Uncle. The same uncle (father’s friend) strangled the lonely girl in the house in a drunken state. The police were also surprised to hear the reason. The accused angrily murdered just because the girl was not giving TV remote. Swaroop Nagar police of Delhi have arrested the accused person.
According to Delhi Police, on March 30, Head Constable Bhupendra saw a crowd in Gali No. 1-1/2, J-Block, Khadda Colony. On questioning, it was found that a girl inside the room was covered with blood. When the police saw her, she was unconscious, which was declared dead by doctors when they were taken to the hospital. The police have registered a case of murder and started investigation. Checked footage of CCTV cameras installed around the scene. The forensic team initially denied any sexual harassment. However, the body has been kept safe for post -mortem.
With the help of technical surveillance and ground intelligence information, the police team came to know the location of suspected Lokesh in the industrial area. Police raided potential places and arrested one of the accused. He was identified as Ranjit, who later confessed to his crime. According to the police, 35 -year -old accused Ranjit Singh lives in Gali No. 12, Bhatta Road, Swaroop Nagar. He works as a laborer in a factory. They got married in 2016 and got divorced a year later in 2017. He is originally from Darbhanga district of Bihar. At present, Swaroop lives with his sister in the city.
Ranjit is a friend of the father of the dead girl. He often used to visit the girl’s house. Ranjit and the victim’s father drank alcohol together on the day of the murder. The father went out after drinking alcohol. The accused Ranjit also left home. The girl was alone at home at the time of the incident and was playing games on her father’s phone. The accused came to the girl’s house and started watching TV. He was allegedly angry when the victim asked her to give her a remote of TV. Attacked him. The girl fainted and started bleeding from her mouth. Fearing that he would not come to his senses and remove his mask, Ranjit got nervous. He attacked the girl’s neck with something sharp. Due to which a lot of bleeding was done, then he wrapped his body in cloth and hid under the bed. He escaped from the spot with his father’s mobile phone. The phone was later recovered from him.

Do not leave young children alone at home for a long time. Make children aware of personal safety. If possible, install CCTV cameras in the house, when the children are alone, keep the doors closed. Beware of repeated distinguished acquaintances at your home. Immediately report any suspicious activity to the police.
